Research
I have more than 19 years experience in research and higher education. I’m a world specialist in systematics of a predatory mite family (Acari: Phytoseiidae) and biological control. I develop research on diagnostic issues, phylogeny and evolution and the use of these predators in biologica control programs (including agroecological approaches).
I obtained a PhD in 2000 and a HDR diploma in 2010.I’m the author of 88 scientific publications, 20 publications for professional journals, 80 oral congress communications and a web site containing on-line identification keys.
I develop international and national collaborations, both with academic and professional partners. I’m managing several research programs in taxonomy and biological control at European and national levels (i.e. Acarosol project funded by Ecophyto plan in France).
Teaching
- I’m involved in Plant protection teaching especially in arthropod pest control. In the courses, Im’ focused on systematics, zoology, ecology applied to plant protection
- Coordinator of :
- the MOOC Nectar on “taxonomy of arthropods and nematodes for agriculture challenges”
- several modules in crop protection at L3 and Master levels
- the bachelor “Productions Agricoles Intégrées et Enjeux Environnementaux”.
- Involvement in the European Erasmus + Master Plant Health
- In charge of international collaborations between Montpellier SupAgro and Brasilian universities.
